This game is by far one of the best looking and sounding game on the 3DS. The only thing that kills me for this game is the controls! I made it through the first 5 chapters but after that I found myself finding it harder and harder to control Pit around the obsticales becouse my hand would start cramping up. In case you havn't heard, you control Pit with the circuit pad, aim with the stylus and fire with the L shoulder button. I wish they had allowed you to change it where you aim with the X, Y, A, B buttons (similar to metroid prime hunters), that would make the game more playable for me. What is worse is the game actually looks very good in 3D, but when my hand starts hurting I shift around trying to get comfortable again which of course makes the screen blurry in 3D mode. Overall I loved the game, just couldn't finish it due to the controls.

"Kid Icarus: Uprising" has its good points. The graphics and music are quite good, the story and plot twists are entertaining enough, and I enjoyed the humor and personality of the characters. The controls, however, are supremely uncomfortable. Moving with the Circle Pad and attacking with the L button puts your hand in a painful position, and using the stylus to aim your attacks is terrible, especially since that tasks your already straining left hand with the job of holding the 3DS system completely by itself. I changed the control scheme so that I could use the face buttons - rather than the stylus - to aim my attacks, and that was a little better (it's more like dual analog control that way), but that still didn't relieve my left hand of its torturous duty.
Aside from the unforgivably bad control scheme, I found "Kid Icarus: Uprising" to be, on the whole, rather boring. The action was repetitive, and, at the lower difficulty levels, you can blaze through the game just by button-mashing anything that moves. The single-player campaign went on for much longer than I expected, too. While I'm sure this would be good news for someone who actually enjoyed the game, I was just impatient for the whole thing to be over with.
