Hitman + Freedom Fighters = Awesome
This game could have been polished a bit more, and I'd take online co-op over tacked-on multiplayer any day. With that aside, I think it's a great game and very fun.
I'm a fan of Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral, Thief) and this game pays homage to many of the great scenes: Robbery/Shootout from Heat, Nightclub from Collateral, and some other fun levels (I wouldn't want to spoil the game for you)
You get to be a bad guy, doing bad things for a reason. Not some robot doing tasks in a linear fashion whilst some voice comes in and tells you what to do. This is a great change of pace from the shooter-glut of 2007.
In the multiplayer you get points for working together, killing each other, and getting revenge. So it's a new take... but so far i got a lot of punks just killing each other and not actually stealing a lot online. I really like the co-op, but why just split screen? The lack of online co-op keeps this game from being a full 10.
and any multiplayer, co-op game and you will get Kayne & Lynch. Yes you've been here before, you've dont this before in one game or another. But this is a pretty nice game that snuck under the radar between two console movers being released within a week of each other (Assasins Creed and M.E).
This may not be on your list of "must play/own" games but if you have a rainy cold afternoon to spare you wouldnt be wasting it with a rental of K&L.
