When I rented this game I had really high expectations but the makers of the game did a very poor job with enemies and level development. The levels are dark and poorly designed. Many levels have different stages that all look the same and many of the enemies look alike. You can level up your characters as you defeat enemies, but it is such a short game that you only get them half done by the end of the game. Its like they spent all their time making the characters playable and ran out of time designing the rest of the game. I gave it a 5 out of 10 because it still has some entertainment value being able to play as your favorite super heros, but it could've been put together a lot better.

Luckily I played this game before playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance, so there was fun to be had. Unfortunately a majority of the roster bored the heck out of me. The Flash (when upgraded), Superman, Wonder Woman, the Green Lantern, and Zatana (when upgraded) are a riot; but everybody else is just kind of meh..Who puts Aquaman in a game? Did we learn nothing last time Aquaman ventured into gaming? I bigger roster, better (and more) moves could have vastly improved this game. Also the meelee combat is rather stale, only the powers are worth playing. So: a better meelee system, more powers, and a larger roster are all a must if (and hopefully when) we get a sequel. Now, back to Alliance.
