Very good for GTA fans

A lot of people are trashing this game because it is not as good as Just Cause 2. DUH. It's the prequel, it came out years before, and back then people didn't know how to squeeze every drop out of the systems like they do now.
Just Cause, however, is a great game in its own right. If you ever played GTA or Saints Row etc and thought to yourself "Man, this story is stupid, I just wanna mess around" this game will appeal to you. The graphics are pretty good, and the effects are very nice. The only time I've had trouble with the graphics is when its raining heavily and I am trying to drive, it blurs a bit too much.
There is a story in this game, and side missions etc. You can choose whether to do them or not. You mostly just unlock stuff for doing them, but it's not like GTA where you have to unlock the map. If you can get to it, you can get to it. The game isn't really gonna stop you.
From the very beginning of the game, if you want to, you can go steal an airplane, boat, etc. In fact you can steal an airplane, fly it up above the clouds, then dive out of it into a lake where you can then steal a boat.
The plot is not stellar, but the missions are fun. The AI is much more aggressive than in previous open world games. It's fun sometimes but annoying other times when you just get a wanted level for hitting someone elses car.
The worst part of the game is the map. You can't really set waypoints, so you just have to check back for turns and such when you forget where you're going. But, the game gives you lots of safehouses you can fast-travel to, and you can always fast travel to your next story mission.
This game is not bad at all if you look at it for its own merits rather than comparing it to it's sequel which came out years later. I really, really like it in fact. The soundtrack is a bit grating, but since every 360 game technically supports a custom soundtrack it doesn't really matter in the long run.
