This game arrived on Saturday afternoon from Gamefly. I didn't get started on it until Sunday and now I'm finished. I have the option of now playing it in 007 mode which is harder than the Agent mode, but I'm pretty much done with the game and am looking forward to the next item in my queue. I personally find it irritating that game developers think they can add extra value by limiting your access to more challenging play until you've done a run-through on less challenging play. If the game is truly amazing, I'd be willing to take it for a ride again, but if it's so-so, I'm much more likely to be over and done.
"James Bond: Bloodstone" was fun, but not truly amazing. I was particularly annoyed at how the phone sensor would turn off as soon as the game decided something had occurred which could be anything from you killing someone to jumping down from a one foot ledge or reloading your gun, thus forcing you to reactivate the sensor repeatedly and sometimes at inopportune moments.
Some of the car chases were fun, but some were quite aggravating and I couldn't wait to finish them, such as the race across the ice. Also, the helicopters have a shooting point that doesn't work because the storyline would be interrupted. I wasted a good deal of time trying to take out that shooting point with multiple weapons before I realized that it was nonsense and that the story wanted you to take the helicopters out in the way that contributed to their cut scene story lines.
All in all, worth the rental, but definitely not worth buying. I like having a unique Bond story, but I think it's really funny that James Bond wasn't interested in the leading female of this story. I never heard him say "No" so much in my life. She was practically begging.
