When I first saw a small portion of this games game play I had my doubts. And on top of that, I learned that a different company made this instead of Naughty Dog(High Impact Games made this 1). And then I learned about the arrival of Dark Daxter...And after all that, I really was concerned about a new fresh Jak and Daxter still with that classic feeling put into the game. When I say that I mean, I was concerned that the fresh, but classic feeling was not going to be there. Regardless I tried it feeling that I should at least give it a shot just because the Jak and Daxter series was an amazing experience for me growing up. Im 14 right now.
Anyway, at first I wasn't to sure about it. Though once I got through the beginning of the game and began immersing myself into the solid story I thought otherwise. New and interesting characters are introduced and you really get a feeling for them. Now, let me say now that I have not yet beat the game. I believe that im through the beginning though and now approaching the climax. The whole plane thing instead of dune buggies or hover cars is turning out not to be that bad.
So in short Jak and Daxter: The final Frontier is much better than it may appear and I want to praise High Impact games for pulling it off decently here. There is still that same grabbing classic game play style and an emotional set of characters that take you in just like any of the other Jak and Daxter games.
So to conclude my review here, I STRONGLY suggest that fans of the Jak and Daxter series should really try this and take a break from the cod games and come back to "Good old Jak and Daxter"!!
