I'd only made it through the beginning of Jak & Dax 1 and began to recall what genre of game this really is: Collect this TO unlock that... to me it's just too PS2 for me to get into. Might be a nice walk and breath of fresh air for some die-hards. Not me, I'm a party pooper.
Rent it and try it out, but don't expect an impressive HD experience. May just call it a PS3 port and leave it at that. Core game controlls are still tight. J&D fans that sold their ps2 and want to reply should try, but everyone else should rent or pass.

If you liked the original 3 episodes on the PS2 you will love this. Same game, just updated graphics.
The Jak series is probably the best and most challenging platformer game out there. This is what gaming is all about! Totally entertaining without the need for graphic violence.
This is one of the few games I own because I play through the whole series once every couple years. A definate must have.
Jak is in the same league as the Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper series!
