Really Bad

Not Impressed

Lame. This game isn't that good at all. I wanted to give this game a chance but it is so hard to like a game that is so boring. They tired to make this game emotional but it's so stail. It's about a man who gets separated by his beloved daughter because of a gravity earthquake or something. He goes on a search for her with his police partner who was with him during the inncedent. That's pretty much the story. And there's these stupid huge gorilla ape looking guys that can barely speak who we're apart of the earthquake in some way. First of all the weapons aren't very good, the assualt rifle looks like the retro lancer in gears of war which I think is sad, you can't even come up with your own weapons. And the check points just makes me rage. When you die from fighting bosses you have to start all over again. Even when you are half way done with the boss you start all over. Try to use your checkpoints you idiots. This game were made by......I want to say SOOOOO bad but I can't, this game is bad stay away from this game everyone.

First I want to say that I am not one of the many GoW fanboys that have been accused of giving this game bad reviews. I played the first GoW, so I am familiar with its play style. So when I picked up this game, I fell right in. Because this game truly is nothing more than GoW, with "slight" gravity manipulation.

The controls are simple. A little too simple. There really isn't much you can do aside from shoot and throw grenades for the first little while. You get your gravity manipulation tools in stages... many, many, stages. You wouldn't think that "High Gravity", "Low Gravity", and "GravLink (leash)", could be broken down into many steps. But, you'd be thinking wrong. But, that's not really all that bad, since you can beat this game without using your powers at all, except for the "You must use (insert power) here" type of scenarios they threw in as an after thought.

That leaves you with your basic weapons. Decide for yourself which side of the "GoW, not GoW" fight your on by searching for pics of the weapons. I've only played the first GoW and I recognized the weapons instantly. They are almost exact copies of the GoW weapons.

The enemies, now there's something different. Oh wait. No, that's wrong too. The "grunts" of the game, look an awful lot like characters in GoW. Bulky in the same proportions as those from GoW. Wearing armor similar to those in GoW. And we already discussed the weapons they have. The ones from GoW.

The storyline is, well. Go look up GoW. It's pretty close to that. Except the main character ends up looking for his little girl who has been taken, apparently with every other child on the planet. No one knows why. And yes, looking for your child is a noble cause. But the way this guy goes about it, just feels....cliched. Now even in a good way.

All in all this game is a disappointment. Cool concept. Poor execution. If you have ever played Gears of War, and found it to be...meh. Not to your taste? You probably won't like this game

I'm not sure why this has such a bad rating.
Sure you have the duck and cover system like GOW but I'm not sure how else you could really do this type of game with out it.
I found the graphics very good and the game play enjoyable. I don't play online very often so that part was no big issue with me.
Well worth a rental
