I bought the demo and was addicted to it. My brother played it too and the ad made me want to get the game SO BADLY!!! I bought it within 2 days after getting the demo and it made me nearly pass out of enjoyment.
story: Slightly sad, but that's okay. I knew that before I got the demo, but it didn't hold me back.
graphics: They have extremely great detail. Some of it was not even in the comics I saw, but don't read.
sound: Just like action movies. (bang!) voices are great, but nothing compared to all the other stuff in this game.
overall joy: Great design, comic like action and realism keep me begging for more and more.
The fighting style is awesome and the graphics are epic! The story is going of short. It would be awesome if they let you use all the characters. And online matches are nearly impossible to find most of the times. I feel like they should have added a few more characters from the long list of very awesome and well known DC characters but oh well it was still awesome none the less!
Story: When Superman is pushed over the edge the remaining heroes and villains must come together and put an end to his tyranny.
Graphics: Up to par with Mortal Kombat. The environment destruction and super moves look great. Same with clothing damage that characters take.
Sound: Nothing stands out, but the music is fitting for the game. Character voices are great and match each person.
Gameplay: It is very similar to Mortal Kombat 2011 in gameplay and storytelling with a few differences and upgrades. It has a lot of focus on environment interaction and mixing combos with special moves. The game moves fast with staccato like movements. Each character is unique and plays differently.
Fun Factor: If you liked Mortal Kombat 2011 or are a fan of DC you will enjoy this game. The story is what you would expect from a DC comic or animation. The gameplay is fun and gets chaotic with the use of the environments. Super moves and Environmental Transitions are over the top but are imaginative and a spectacle to watch. You can feel the brutality in each battle.
Multiplayer is great and with fierce competition while single player is also a joy. The single player modes are not as boisterous as Mortal Kombat but still fun. Both modes have a lot of replayability. There are many good things about this game (both big and small) but a few failings. Oddly there is no random stage select and there could have been more stage variation. Tutorial mode feels stark and lacking. Overall this game is a keeper if you're a fan of fighting games. It’s a love song from DC and Netherrealm Studios to all their fans.
