Sucker Punch (the company behind the Sly Cooper trilogy on the PS2) is at it again with a PS3 exclusive called inFamous. Now this game has been in development for the last 3 and a half years and it shows. The open-world design is among the best I've seen. The people on the streets actually react to you depending on the decisions you make in the game. Should you choose a "good action", this will lean you more toward a "hero" status and everyone will appreciate you. Choose an "evil action" and become "inFamous" in which everyone hates you, tries to attack you on the streets and throws things at you. The graphics are excellent for an open-world game, full of detail and some of the best animations. In terms of attacks, there's not a good amount of melee attacks. This is because the game isn't a beat-em-up, its about utilizing the electric powers your character has. There's even a solid upgrade system that's simple and shows you exactly what extra move you can purchase before buying it. However, the main reason that made the game really stand out for me was it's story. By far one of the best stories in a game. There's a good amount of characterization and plot twists, as well as two different endings. I've only got the hero ending so far and that was AWESOME. That being said, this is a MUST BUY or in the least MUST RENT. You'd really be hard-pressed not to enjoy this PS3 classic.
This game is just plain awesome. I don't give a rating of 9 hardly at all, but I had to here. The controls are great. Yes, sometimes you stick to surfaces you don't mean to, and yes, I too have walked through walls or fences sometimes, but that is rare. Let's be real - games have bugs and glitches. They are not ALWAYS gonna be perfect. inFAMOUS comes real close. It's just a really fun game, and the whole electrical powers idea is excellent. Any complaints you may read about this game obviously come from very picky gamers. I played the demo before it was released and was hooked already. Just try inFAMOUS, you'll be glad you did.
this is one of the best games i have played in a lone time.
the graphics are stunning, the sound is great, and the game playi next level. my only complaint is i hate the way camera angle switches , it got my killed so many time because you cant see where the enemies are and the shot are coming from. other than that this game is definately worth buying if you got 60 bucks to bone out,, why spend it on something that will keep you entertained for a few days.
