All I can say is, best game of 2009 hands down(perhaps Modern Warfare 2 has a chance but I doubt it)

Great effects, great controls, smooth movements, great free running - assassin's creed and GTA4 have nothing on this game. Don't believe any of the reviews that say there are glitches - there are very few and the ones that are in the game now WILL GET PATCHED! Give the game a try and rate it a 9 or higher - this game deserves it!

Potential Game of the Year

First off, yeah. I gave it a 10, but before you count me off as a fanboy and/or raving lunatic. Let me explain.

The 1-10 score system (or any rating system for that matter) rarely gets used fully, and i think that's unfortunate. People are afraid to give something a 10 for whatever reason... The way i look at it, if i feel like a game is the best game out there at the current time, then it deserves a 10.
This is most definitely the case for inFamous. For me personally, it's the best game out on the market at this current date. Now, that might change next week, but i'm talking about this very moment.

InFamous has so many great things going for it, it's hard to know where to start. First, let me get the few bad things out of the way. One of the must frustrating things is related to the free-running, parkour aspect of the game. They implement it almost flawlessly, except for when you are trying to jump and grab on to small objects, or thin poles. Cole doesn't always want to grab on, or occasionally, he grabs something else. Something you weren't aiming for. That definitely gets a bit frustrating. The rest is all minor. Some clipping, popping, graphical anomalies, etc. However, you are usually so focused on the awesome action, you rarely notice these things.

The good in inFamous far outshines the bad. The combat is intuative and creative. Aiming, movement, and cover are all executed to perfection. The game has a nice progression system, many fun and flashy powers, as well as impressive, and distinct looking enemies.
Comic book fans are going to immediately fall in love with this game, as it plays out similar to a super-hero story. Complete with artistic, comic-style cutscenes.
Nothing beats cutting lose, and simply roaming around the city with Cole's super hero powers. Really, this game is impossible to pass on. You would be crazy to own a PS3, and not own this game.

BUY IT! Support PS3 exclusives, especially one this great.

Sucker Punch (the company behind the Sly Cooper trilogy on the PS2) is at it again with a PS3 exclusive called inFamous. Now this game has been in development for the last 3 and a half years and it shows. The open-world design is among the best I've seen. The people on the streets actually react to you depending on the decisions you make in the game. Should you choose a "good action", this will lean you more toward a "hero" status and everyone will appreciate you. Choose an "evil action" and become "inFamous" in which everyone hates you, tries to attack you on the streets and throws things at you. The graphics are excellent for an open-world game, full of detail and some of the best animations. In terms of attacks, there's not a good amount of melee attacks. This is because the game isn't a beat-em-up, its about utilizing the electric powers your character has. There's even a solid upgrade system that's simple and shows you exactly what extra move you can purchase before buying it. However, the main reason that made the game really stand out for me was it's story. By far one of the best stories in a game. There's a good amount of characterization and plot twists, as well as two different endings. I've only got the hero ending so far and that was AWESOME. That being said, this is a MUST BUY or in the least MUST RENT. You'd really be hard-pressed not to enjoy this PS3 classic.
