There's the saying "They don't make games like this anymore" and that really is a good thing with this game. Others have said it and I'll repeat, the controls and game play are horrible through-out most of the game. The cinimatics are choppy and show there age even with component cables. Its especially disappointing how bad the enemy AI is.
This game is backwards compatible with the 360, but I have an original xbox and played this title with the original xbox controller. This game is absolute torture trying to play with the original xbox controller because they the game is dependent on how fast you hit buttons and how fast you move indie in the game. I actually ended up tossing the controller on the floor I got so mad playing this game with the twitchy controls and having to repeat several things over and over in a level to advance.
As hard is this game is to beat, it would have been nice to have a statistic counter of how many times I died in the game just for comedic relief because I would have to guess at least 1500 times. The story is grander and better than Staff of Kings on the PS2, but Staff of Kings is far more enjoyable to play than Emperor's Tomb.
The only things I actually enjoyed in this game was shooting down fighter planes with a machine gun and how Lucas Arts sandwiched the story of The Emperor's Tomb just before "The Temple of Doom" film.
