There are a few things that are certain about most movie based title games. First, they're likely to be 3D platformers. Second, they will follow the plot of the movie.
And third, they're going to be lame.
Igor: The Game doesn't waver from any of the three above criteria. It's a 3D platformer where in each level you go from point A to point B. Along the way you solve simple puzzles, bash bad guys, jump a lot, and collect stuff (gears and skulls in this game).
It's story sort of follows the movie story about an Igor that creates life in order to win the evil contest.
And the game's really lame. The stationary camera makes traversing the levels harder then it should be.
The combat's nothing more that mashing the B button. You can't die, so there's no benefit of using strategy. You just go up to the bad guys and beat them into the ground.
The problem solving is nothing more than picking the right character (Igor, Scamper, Brain or Eva), and pushing the B button one or more times when that character is standing next to the puzzle. It's so simple any Igor can do it.
The sound's awful; you don't hear the explosions or the sounds of fists hitting metal. You only hear some really bad music.
And the ending is extremely flat and uninspired. In fact, the whole gameplay experience is flat and uninspired.
Igor: The Game is another failed movie tie in game.
