This is an "on rails" flying shooting game.. It is not a simulator type game by any means..
(on rails = the game controls the general direction the plane flies in.. You just maneuver the plane on the screen but can not change direction.)
It is not a bad game but very easy and definitely for kids or anybody that wants more control over the aircraft.

This isn't half bad

This game may not be so popular but it is very fun. This by far is the best air-shooting game. This game shouldn't be for rent, the game doesn't have a career mode, your suppose to play this over and over. Its a survival game, it tests to see how many stages you can beat so you really can't finish the game. I call these games "antiques", you're suppose to keep this game and treasure it, like Super Smash Bros. You should really keep this game if you're into it. I only give it a nine because it isn't really worth buying at the price, you should get it in a yard sale if they sell for a few bucks.

An On Rails Shooter that Gets Bland Too Quickly

If you are thinking that Hyper Fighters will be a flight simulation where you can control where the plane goes as you engage the enemy in thrilling dogfights, think again.
This game is purely an on-rails shooter. You can’t control how fast you’re going, you can’t control where you’re going. Heck, you have little control as to where you can position your plane on screen or move the camera to spot enemies to shoot down.
Other choices you do get is the which of the 3 difficulty settings and which one of 3 types of planes to pick. The light plane is most maneuverable, but lacks firepower, the heavy plane has the firepower but is very slow, and the medium has average firepower and handling.
And just like an on rails shooter, the enemies show up and you shoot at them using one gun, and one set of missiles, neither of which you can modify in any way. Your opponents consist of a few types of jets, ships, missile launches, and submarines. Most levels end with a big boss fight with a massive ship or plane you have to destroy.
But that’s another glaring problem with this game - the levels are tedious; every level plays like every other level. Adding to the problems are graphics that look terrible (even by Wii standards), awful voice acting, forgettable music and an annoying continue option.
If you fail to finish all 14 stages before losing all you lives, you can‘t start the game over where you left off. Nope, you have to go all the way back to stage 1.
There is an option for two player co-op play, but it just the same as the single player mode, only with two players instead of one.
Hyper Fighters brings some simple thrills, but it’s an on rails shooter that lacks in creativity and presentation. SKIP IT.
