Overall, a decent game. Graphics were good, voice acting was mediocre. The plot to the story was a lost cause for me. I couldn't focus on the plot, only on the gameplay. Moving onto the gameplay, I liked the use of the bow and arrow, magic incorporated into the characters, and other things. It would have made the game more interesting if Caddoc didn't have the crossbow and E'lara didn't have the sword and shield. Some work had to be put into the things they do together. Some quests required one character to do one thing in order for you to get the treasure or epic weapons. If there were more quests and more situations like that during the course of the main quests, it could have been more fun.
All in all, I enjoyed playing this game until the very end! :)
This game started good but I found it to become pretty boring after about an hour. I didn't like they way the controls were setup and I didn't find any way to change the control layouts more to my preference. I didn't play it in Co-Op mode so maybe that would have made a difference but in single player mode, there are secrets that only the other character can unlock and for you to do that sometimes you have to be in the exact right spot after you find out there's a secret to unlock. Kind of frustrating at times plus even in casual mode I died... A lot. Fortunately they give you lots of revival potions that your companion can use on you otherwise I probably would have stopped playing after the 10th time I died. Overall gameplay was okay the story seemed decent but I just couldn't get past the fact that it was a typical dungeon crawler like many others I've played in the past. Definitely glad I rented it first.
