The Gamespot review is stupid.

I can say without hesitation that this is the best golf game I have ever played.
I read the review from Gamespot and was apalled at the many falsehoods present within. Gamespot claims that Fore! added nothing new from HSG3. Oh really? Nothing new? So I suppose twice as many playable characters and three times as many playable courses counts as "nothing new" then? Not to mention more unlockables and equipment.
Also, Fore! had better voice acting, bringing the characters to life in a way that HSG3 never did. People complain about the three-point-shot system, but I admit that I find this system preferable to the Tiger Woods analog swing. With the analog swing, you'd find yourself slicing the ball often with no idea WHY it was happening. With the three-point-shot, you are in total control of what you're doing, as well as very aware of the mistakes you're making. It's easy to make corrections to your play, whereas with an analog swing it's all just trial and error (emphasis on the error). If the analog swing just doesn't work for you for whatever reason (thumb malfunctions?) then you're pretty much out of luck. However, Hot Shots Golf Fore! doesn't have that problem, as anybody with three working brain cells can figure out the three-point-shot.
Seriously, I would check this game out. It's fun, challenging, and rewarding. Not to mention, it makes a great multiplayer experience.
