Great for Tactics Lovers

For some reason, this game gets no hype, and even bad reviews. But the only thing I'm hearing from people is that it is "too hard." Maybe for a casual gamer it is, but for someone like me who salivates at the thought of another tactical rpg, it was just the challenge I wanted. Honestly, I give up when games are frustratingly hard, but this one wasn't. As long as you do some extra dungeons (there are endless extra dungeons...) and grind (less than in most games, I might add), you will be fine.
As for gameplay, I have never seen a tactics rpg do what this one does. Sure you have "action" and "magic" (which are magic coins in this game), but instead of just pressing the button and waiting, you get an action gauge with a small section that says "critical", and if you stop the moving line within the critical section, you do more damage. It adds action to a strategy game! Exactly what I want! This really makes the game better than most tactical rpgs. Also, there is a way to set up your characters strategically so that one can "shoot"/push an enemy into an ally into another ally (as many as you have lined up) and exponentially increase damage. It may sound weird, but it was really fun once I got the hang of it.
Otherwise it goes by an AP system, so moving and attacking takes up AP, but if you don't move or move a short distance you can attack or cast magic two or more times in a turn.
The character designs aren't wild or crazy, and no one has green or purple hair or ears or tails, but they are still really cute, even in their simplicity. I really like all the sprites. Most people have fun hats.
The story is generic but I wasn't bored or anything, and the feel of the game is dark and atmospheric of medieval times, kind of like Tactics Ogre. I love the whole "swords and magic" setting.
Did I mention this game has a boomerang as a weapon? It doesn't get any better than that. I could go on forever about it but some people will still hate it, I say try it if you like
