Brilliant bad-boy scientist Sebastian Caine (Kevin Bacon) has discovered a way to make matter invisible as part of a government project, in this contemporary twist on the classic Invisible Man story with astonishing special effects. After initial tests of the serum on a gorilla are successful, Caine decides to make himself the first human test subject, and, of course, things go horribly wrong. When Caine can't get the antidote serum to work, he begins to slowly lose his mind and gives in to his basest human emotions. Soon enough, Caine goes completely psychotic, and begins stalking and picking off members of his research team one by one, as well as anyone else who dares to stand in his way.
