The game was good. Had a good story and good graphics but the story was really really short

I've always been a huge fan of the Hitman series, played them all. The wait for this game to release has been far too long, but when it finally arrived in my mailbox I forgot about all that.

The gameplay is prototypical Hitman with enhanced features and graphics. Blood splatter on clothes and walls is incredibly realistic, and hiding bodies can make or break your mission. Only qualm I have with the gameplay is the ability of guards to see through masks to identify 47. Sorry, but if the outfit I put on is of a SWAT team member and my face is covered, how can anyone identify me? The gameplay only lacks on the logic used in outfits.

There are (I think) 21 levels in all of the game. Some levels can be finished fast, others take time and learning. A few are so frustrating that you want to throw the controller at the TV. It took me about a week to beat the entire game, and about three days before I got tired of the created online missions. If you plan on owning/retaining this game for a while, make sure you have an internet connection.

The fact this game took so long to release I would expect more in-depth gameplay. One can play Skyrim for 1,000 hours and still have plenty to do before beating the game. With Hitman it seems like the developers got lazy and wrote code to let the players create the levels for them. A little more enthusiasm for the main mode would have been nice.

The lack of in-depth gameplay, coupled with the extensive wait for the title is why I gave it an 8 rather than a 9 or 10. Hitman players will thoroughly enjoy the game, but they will be disappointed when it comes time to play the last level. This game was seemingly made for gamefly - if I spent $60 at release for it, I'd be let down.
