I have played the Hitman series from day one. Played every game in the series. Either this one is a poor representation, or the game has run its course. The concept of the game is a good one. A fairly open level, with many routes to achieve your objective. That's a fair statement. But, where this one falls apart, is the story tie-in. The story is weak. And the levels you run dont make any sense because they are tieing the level into the story. There is one level where I am supposed to restore power to a damaged elevator so my "friend" can get to safety. So I abandon the elevator thru the elevator shaft and start the level. But the "level" consists of me trying to get to 4 randomly places fuses in this building, and make my way to a circuit box to insert them. I mean, really? This is supposed to be "Hitman", not "Electrician Man". I think the game was better when there was no story and I was just performing contracts.
To be fair though, I knew this game could be a letdown, because I played it right on the heels of finishing the new Tomb Raider and Walking Dead games. Most games would be a letdown after those 2.

It has a killer storyline the likes of nothing Ive seen before in a Hitman game, that definetly breathes new life into the genre, the only Contracts mode is a great new addition allowing you to create contracts for you and your friends to compete for the high score in, the weapons are great, the voice acting is INCREDIBLE, and the whole game is just amazing, a great addition to the Hitman series
