Don't let the bad reviews of this game fool you, it is amazing!

That said, it isn't for everyone. If you are a gun and run fan, this will bore you. In order for Hitman to be enjoyed, as with every title in this outsanding series, you must enjoy stealth games. The pacing is slow, the gunfights will kill you. You have to stick to the shadows, use disguises, and strategy to decide the best way to procede through a level. I have played and loved every game in this series, and this one is an amazing addition with tons of new ways to assassinate your tagets. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is magnificent, and the story is interesting enogh with amazing voice acting.

The game is not without it's flaws, however. The need to use instinct when in a disguise is frustrating and takes away from the experience of killing someone only to steal their clothes. The game is fairly short and contracts mode, while fun, offered nothing to keep me playing once I defeated the main campaign.

This is one of those games that makes Gamefly totally worth it. It isn't worth the sixty bucks, due to lenght, but it is a must play for fans of the stealth genre.

BEWARE: you need patience and an understanding of the stealth genre to play. If you are looking for a COD paced action shooter, look elswhere.

The game itself looks more or less like any other Hitman game. Obviously graphics are not the end all be all of games but improvements would be nice.

Control scheme works well enough, so long as you do not need to change what you use at the drop of a hat. Which is exactly what they want you to do. In other words, the controls work great, unless you are playing the game.

Stealth is well not really there. You can sneak, but unless you have a wide open area with guards spread out, it doesn't work worth anything.

Story is honestly the worst part. You are an assassin who has no feelings, I mean they lay it out in earlier games. So now you go and kill the woman who was telling you what to do, and then you have a conscious. Just out of the blue, hey let's not let people do what I do.

To not let people do what you do, you go do what you do. If you don't see a problem with that story line, try the game. You will send it back rather quickly. It is a stealth game with no use for stealth, it is a shooter with nothing saying this is different besides the supposed stealth.

As an example, the first target you get after the stupid set up, is not there unless you do it a specific way. Every single one after that is the same thing, you have to do a specific way or you don't actually do it. In other words it is an open world kill a certain person game with little to no stealth, and you are on a rail. You go point A to point B only how they want you to. Everything else, is glitter and serves no purpose.
