Been waiting years for a faithful "translation" of the series, and this one is as close as we'll ever like to get to the tone, humor, whackiness and overall disorienting, warp speed laugh ride of the books. While a few diehard fans of the books, TV and radio series may take issue with the minutiae, overall I think the producers did a bangup job in selecting the characters, scenes, and plotlines that could translate well to the big screen yet stay faithful to the original.
