Bad

Tutorial is too long

After 5 times of playing this game, my 3-5 year olds are still in the tutorial. It is a LOT of reading and explaining. The mini games are fun and they are all capable of doing them. The only bad part is the insanely long tutorial that they are still in. Their interest does not hold for long because of all of the reading and directions. Would have been great if they had played the text in a voice.

Hello Quests! Enjoyable Depending On Personality

Have you ever heard or played the game Animal Crossing? Hello Kitty Seasons is a bit like this, but a more simplified version.

In Adventure Mode, the single player experience, you begin by creating an avatar and make your way to Sanrio Town. After a brief introduction on learning the basics of the game, your tutorial begins which actually lasts about an hour. There are four seasons in the game, and the first year they are three days each. The days go by fast, and they are not in real-time, but rather through the progression of the quests you complete. The tasks range in planting trees, digging for stones, (to name a few) and playing mini-games. There are a handful of mini-games, and they are all unique to each season. Some of the mini-games are fun, while others are just dreadful. You get coins by playing the mini-games and there are other ways as well. You can use the coins to purchase things in the different stores such as clothes for your character and in-game tools and other odds and ends.

After the first year ends, the seasons now last ten days. Playing one mini-game equals one day, and you advance to the next season by talking to the Mayor. The only problem with this is there's only a small amount of mini-games to choose from in each season and some are not fun at all to play. Everytime you play a mini-game, there's a loading screen that lasts from one to ten seconds. You can enhance the town by going on quests and collecting more items (gems and planks for instance) and these take a little while longer to obtain, and you'll have to play the same mini-game over again to get the gems. In the town you can find a theater and you can watch in-game movie scenes and a few promotional videos there as well as the game soundtrack.

Multiplayer Mode allows you to play about 30 mini-games. House mode feature gives you easy access to everything, but its not customizable.

A rental will suffice, it's just an average game with a nice Hello Kitty theme to it.

Cute, But It Has Problems

Hello Kitty Seasons is a mix between good and awful. One good part about this game is the use of the characters. Almost all the Hello Kitty characters are in this game. Another good part about this game is its creativity. The minigames are creative and can be pretty fun. Sadly what this game lacks in is the missions. You have to listen carefully or else your screwed. Don't bother using the map because it's useless, it will send you in circles. Glithes can show up often[running into trees, walking through people, ect.] but they don't really ruin the fun. In the end this game is only for true Hello Kitty fans, if your not one this really isn't a game for you. Unless you love cute animals, because this is one of the cutest games I have ever seen!

OK for a kids' game

This wasn't really made for little, little kids. Maybe more for 6-7 years old. All the hunting-and-pecking getting tedious too.

My kids never got out of the tutorial - it was so long and had so much reading involved that they were bored before they ever got to the game
