Hell's Kitchen for Nintendo DS Reviews by Gamers

I like Gordon Ramsay's shows, H.ell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, but this game doesn't have anything to do with those shows. It is just a rip-off of the game Diner Dash which you can play for free online.

I saw a 'recipe book' section and thought the game would involve making recipes, like Cooking Mama, but it doesn't. It's just a recipe book to look at.

In the actual game, you just click on a blue, red, yellow, orange, or green bowl representing ingredients and your dish is made automatically. There is no difference between making a starter, entree, or desert, since you never see any actual food during the game. It is just clicking on bowls and then cooking them for the correct time. You also do a lot of clicking in the dining room to seat guests, take their orders, and clear the tables.

There is no competition between chefs like on the show. A computer generated Gordon Ramsay takes up the top half of your DS during the game. Unfortunately, he repeats about the same five phrases over and over while you're playing.

I'm not scoring this game low because it's not fun, it can be exciting and challenging, but Gordon Ramsay's face was just stuck onto a version of a pre-existing game. There was little attempt to make it original.
