Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility for Wii Reviews by Gamers

I have played several versions of Harvest Moon and this one is middle of the pack for the series. The graphics are pleasent and nicely cartoony. the sound is bland and not very exciting and the music is repetative and coma-inducing. I usually play to a favorite music album in the stereo. The controls are a bit touchy at first, but because the motion control is tacked on (you can do the same function with the A button), I just ignored it and used the button. Learning how to use Z trigger lock is essential in good farming.

The first few months are taxing and can be difficult to get through. However, stick with it as it will get easier with time. The key to preserving stamina is better tools. Once you get silver level tool or better, farming and mining are a breeze.

My biggest complaint about the game is that after 1.5 seasons of power farming, I have so much money it is almost pointless to farm. I own all the land plots, my house is fully upgraded why do I need anymore money?

Other than that though this is a nice relaxing diversion that will keep you busy for quiite a while.

This is one of the games you can't just pick up and get into. It starts off very slow but picks up and is somewhat addicting after getting through the beginning. If you enjoy a game that you can be entertained from the beginning and play for a little while, this isn't for you. But if you enjoy developing a character and going through the game in detail then the game is worth a shot. I enjoy picking up a game and getting to action that is why i gave it a not so high rating.
