Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland!

Harvest Moon. This game has been one of the best games that I have played. This game is centered around raiseing animals and crops while trying to save the surounding village from becomeing a resort.

This game is one of the few Harvest Moon games that I have played that has a set goal and plot. (The only other one was Back into Nature). In order to save the village you must do one of 7 things. If you don't do one of them by the end of the year you lose and the harvest sprites must finde a new home.

The game starts when you come to colect your grandfathers belongings,(as do so many other games). After walking around the farm you go to bed. In the morning you come outside and see Nic(red), Nac(blue), and Flack(yellow) talking about how to save their home. When they notice you they run. Then the godess apears. She asks you a serise of questions. After this the sprites will go home and you will go to bed again. The next day the sprites will show you around the farm.

This may be one of the hardest games. A dog alwase comes in handy but instead of someone giveing it to you or it being there when you come you must gain a dogs trust. Earning money becomes easier because of the part-time work you can now do. Gaining the trust of all the villagers is a good idea. There are seven endings in all,(I won with treasure hunt 2), and each one requires difrent people as friends.

This may be a fun game but you must work hard! I wish you luck with this game.

This was the first game I played on PS2. I fell in love with it right away. The graphics are unique, fun and colorful. The music and sounds are pleasant and fun, the animals are cute, and the chores and controls are simple. The quests range from easy to difficult, so there's something for everybody. It's fun to gather items and sell them or cook with them, too. This game will always be a classic to me.

Despite The Flaws,This Game Keeps Me Playing!

Pertaining to the title, this game is nice to play.I have no reason why. This game has more restrictions than the previous/later installments. No marrige.Fewer land plots.Inheritage.Still,this makes me continue to play it,and get this fun feel everytime I do so.
The plot is simple.Your job is to shield the village from construction, but with no swords, shields, bombs, any of that Zelda-ish stuff. You use your blessed farming techniques, stalks of determination and the seeds of friendship sown on your ramshackle plantation. The plot may be simple, but the game isn't.Well, the controls aren't wrist-rusting,nor do any of the puzzle stretch your mind out of place. But,things don't always come your way,if you don't look everywhere, you might get less, and
decisions can be a bit difficult to make, making you wonder "Is this purchase worthy?"
Still, nothing can come at you more than the graphics. So impressive! This isn't Harvest Moon's
first transmissions into 3-D,but it is the first
of the series that allows you to play from a
behind camera-view rather than an eagle-eye
perspective. The characters are no longer just fat
heads walking around with little dot eyes. They
finally have a more animated,mature skeleton.They
got arms,anime eyes,legs,feet and chests.The game
also has a faster frame rate than most HM games and beyond. The music can get a bit repetitive, but the regular jingle you normally hear in the spring at your farm can be quite catchy and anger-soothing.
Okay,in conclusion,HMStH is a good buy.Maybe you
purchase it all because this has awesome graphics.Or perhaps it a HM game.I'm not particularly a fan of the HM franchise-I normally
prefer knock 'em out fighters, shoot 'em down
shooters, questing adventure/action or cast-your-magic RPG.But,I've been playing the Harvest Moon games for a loooong time,so I'm not quittin' on 'em yet.
