Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for Game Boy Adv Reviews by Gamers

A fairly good Harvest moon title, but it has a few warts to it.. These exist as a few translation bugs, which means "rushed translation"... This game apparently does not come with the dead line of five years that the psone version had.. It gives plenty of variety of what you can grow.. This game's time sequence apparently gives you 50 in-game years or so, before you reach the end, so be ready for a long haul.. I still find it hard to believe that people are asking $50 to $70 bucks for this game on Amazon in new condition!! I had to buy a used version for around $28 bucks.... I spent that much just, so I could get the manual with it!! Yes, the copies of this game with a manual will
quickly get up to around $30 or more easily! Still, I would rather play this than play a game like Avencast for the PC! That is the problem with PC games is that you don't know what to expect, which is why I am thankful for services like Gamefly! PC gaming is dying in part due tof the old blind purchase method... I really hate blind purchases, but the Avencast game was for under $5... Why do I compare these two games you ask?? It is only because they are worlds apart...
One(Avencast) has awsome graphics, but is linear and shallow and is more of a harry potter rip-off, but the Other(this game-harvest moon friends of mineral town) has cheap graphics, but is more forgiving, and has alot more depth, and choice making... Rental services like Gamefly are the real reason consoles are winning against the pc! If you knew the game was a keeper you are more willing to go the distance, and you don't feel as ripped off in the end.. Remember to try before you buy.. So you will know what the game is worth, before you make the purchase! God Bless You!
