If you were a fan of the SNES version of Harvest Moon, this game is like a breath of fresh air. The town is basically like A Wonderful Life (so if you liked those characters, you'll love these guys), except there's actually things to do. They took their tool system and made the upgrades meaningful, rather than up to luck and barely better, as in AWL. The general inferface is refined, if not a little unintuative. But the part of the game that really shines is the breadth of activities that you can do. You have plots of land over the whole town you can use to plant crops or trees, you can choose the most strategic location to put your animal barns (and the best building material), or you can just go up to the mines and dig for ore. Not to mention you can go after almost every lady in the game.
If you're a fan of any Harvest Moon game, you'll be addicted to this one.
