The Harry Potter video games that I had played in the past had been pretty good so i thought i couldn't lose renting another one. I was wrong. I really only gave this game about an hour of my time...and that was just in desperate hope that it would get better. No such luck. This game was so far off of what Harry Potter fans want.
1.) Terrible, uncomfortable controls. Counter-intuitive
2.) Spells were lame
3.) Not creative at all. Just another run around and kill all the enemies on the screen before advancing to the next screen game. Besides the third dimension had nothing on any 64 bit system games.
4.) Zero time at the school (Hogwarts). Part of what makes video games made after movies fun is seeing the familiar scenary from the movie. Look at Scarface, Reservoir Dogs, The Godfather, etc etc. These games take advantage of the gamers desire to explore an environment that they are familiar with from the flic. I am not saying those were ALL good games, but they followed the rules to a certain extent. Gamers want to see the things that made the first Harry Potter game successful; The bedrooms, dining hall, classrooms, Quidditch Field...
Take my word for it. If you want to play Harry Potter games choose a different one. This one sucks!!!
