Halo ODST was a much different game than the Original Halo trilogy. It is nice to see the war from a different view and to actually have to think a little with each encounter. And yes I only mean a little. While a lot of people suggest there is a lot of strategy involved with this game there is still the ability in most cases to just run in guns blazing. The biggest issue I found with any encounter is conserving ammo. You need to plan out your attack slightly so you can decide where you will get your next weapon from but once you have decided that run in kill a few and then take a breather behind a barricade for your health to come back. Other than that the story to the game is great but it is short just like all the other Halo games. The multiplayer is again where it is at. They focused mainly on the multiplayer aspects of the game with the campaign used as a good training ground for you to hone your skills before taking on real opponents. I give this game a 7/10 because of the short story and the still lacking strategy needed to complete the story. Yes the strategy needed has improved but still not as much as I was hoping for.
good game, good story, i kinda thought it was a lil short and not as much challenging i was waiting to drive or shoot something new. but oh well ill wait for halo reach, fire fight on the other hand, is bananas! i love it, kind of like gears 2! but better, the computer changes its strategy...keeps u on your toes. glad i bought it for that reason! also if anyone would like to join me in a firefight send me an invite! my live gamertag is lyricalphilly thanks bungie for another classic!!!
