This is terrible that Gamefly only sends the first disc. That leaves half of the multi-player on-line game unusable. I don't recommend this game at all to anyone from Gamefly. Just go ahead and buy it yourself in a month or two when you can find it used.
Dudes... I want to play co-op. What makes you think I want to only be able to find people on my friends list!? I popped the game in and wanted to jump right into a game of coop. Unfortunately it only seemed to allow me to look at my friends list for open games.
If this trend continues with the halo games, eventually I'll end up banning the series. I have no idea what Halo Reach will be, but put coop matchmaking in it!!! Why create a game mode that makes it so hard to get a group together for?
Despite that, I am giving the game an 8 for the gameplay. If I had someone else in the same house to play it with, I'm sure I wouldn't care about coop matchmaking as much. But I'm an adult. My wife doesn't care for violent games. My best friend doesn't FPS on consoles. So, I was expecting to be able to jump right into an open game of coop (just like Left 4 Dead) and go within 10 minutes.

Halo ODST was a much different game than the Original Halo trilogy. It is nice to see the war from a different view and to actually have to think a little with each encounter. And yes I only mean a little. While a lot of people suggest there is a lot of strategy involved with this game there is still the ability in most cases to just run in guns blazing. The biggest issue I found with any encounter is conserving ammo. You need to plan out your attack slightly so you can decide where you will get your next weapon from but once you have decided that run in kill a few and then take a breather behind a barricade for your health to come back. Other than that the story to the game is great but it is short just like all the other Halo games. The multiplayer is again where it is at. They focused mainly on the multiplayer aspects of the game with the campaign used as a good training ground for you to hone your skills before taking on real opponents. I give this game a 7/10 because of the short story and the still lacking strategy needed to complete the story. Yes the strategy needed has improved but still not as much as I was hoping for.
