Summary: A few clicks short of the first Halo, with a lil RE4 flavor. In one word - EXCELLENT!

THE GOOD:
Immersion = 10/10
Dim the lights and turn off the phone - it's a big world that sucks you in - really fun! Great story and music.

Save Anywhere feature = Yippee!

A.I. = 8/10
Enemies are pretty smart, set up ambushes and flanks and toss grenades.

Graphics = 7/10

Replay = 8/10
With the open ended free-roaming world, massive stages and battles, great A.I. - I will definitely replay this one; it's a different experience everytime.

THE BAD:

Collision Detection = 4/10
Get ready to get shot up while trying to run through a door and your path becomes blocked by a pebble.

Aiming = 2/10
The targeting reticule sucks, you cannot fire while zooming, you cannot 'peek out' from corners making you have to strafe in and out (that sucks big time).

Let me say from first hand experience that ports are always going to be better on the original system. If for some other reason you do not have this game for the PC by all means get it for XBOX. I myself have played both versions of the game and besides the graphics being downgraded slightly it is still the same game. And when I say the same game I mean the same game. No new bells and whistles attached to this pony. I don't mean it's a bad thing. HL2 still has all the awesome physics that have been supplied by the almighty source engine. All the pulse pounding excitement that you would experience from a blockbuster movie. And lastly all the fun of whacking a hacker with a crowbar. I once hit a hacker with a crowbar in real life and was sent to jail. Sorry Steve ! (Trust me you'll get that joke if you play the game.) This is being hailed as the last great Hurrah for the XBOX so pick it up.

quote from the game: We don't go to Ravenholm
