.Hack/Quarantine delivers a surprisingly challenging game atmosphere compared to its predecessors, and not to mention finally "wrapping up" this 4 part game series.
There are many mixed reviews about this game, not to mention the series as a whole, but the game does deliever a great story to keep anyone captivated. Here are some pros and cons about .Hack/Quarantine
Pros:
-Finally receive some answers in the end
-Somewhat challenging compared to the other 3
-Same gameplay (good for those that don't like change)
-Some of the characters from the .Hack/Sign series appear
-Using a wide variety of virus cores other than 3 a game
-New Drain Ability! which data drains all enemies
Great story!
Cons:
-Repetitive, but you know this by now
-Maybe over challenging in regards to using SEVERAL virus cores to unlock protected areas.
-Virus infection rate is higher, especially draining any monster level 70+
-To much time spent on collecting and leveling up
Overall it is a decent game, if you consider all for being part of 1 game instead of separate ones. Playing all 4 back to back is better than waiting in my opinion. The issue we deal with in game series is we expect games to be better each time around, but considering this is really 1 long game, divided into 4, we must consider we are playing the same game. The graphics are the same, game play is the same, really everything in these games is the same. .Hack fans will really get a kick out of it, but may lack in quality to those that did not get into the other games.
