Horrible

Boring

Well I made a mistake renting this. I haven't played the previous games, so I was very lost and confused of what was going on.
I got bored very quickly. All you walk around and travel to different places and are forced to do uninteresting quests whether you want to or not.
The battles are very boring and just repetitive. You just smash x over and over and over until you win the battle, which takes me a long time.
Well I am sure this game would be more interesting if I had played the previous games.

Good

A good game, with some problems

This game isn't exactly a bad game. However, I cannot say I would honestly reccomend it to anyone that doesn't like the .hack series.

It has a lot of things to keep people satisfied. The gameplay is a bit more solid and less dull than predecessors, and there are a lot of things to collect, like finishing the Ryu Books, by collecting various items.

However, the gameplay is a tad dull, nonetheless. I found myself around the middle of the game getting tired of all the new things already, and not battling much anymore.

This game's story is beautiful, but later on, it gets dull. The ending of this game seemed a tad tacked on, and I was constantly thinking how it should of ended after you defeated the main baddy.

With all this in mind, I would say that I wouldn't reccomend this game to you, unless you really like the .hack series like I do.

I did like this game, because of the story and the collectivity. So if you can get over the bad gameplay and the poor ending, then you'll find a solid game.

Very Good

Decent

Good if you're a continuing fan of .hack, much less so if you're not. More of the same as the last two games, although the new form is fairly entertaining. Provides a decent amount of closure to the series, but as a game overall is fairly mediocre. Plot, gameplay, music, graphics are nothing new.
