Guitar Hero for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

This game is awesome at first glance. The sound track is great and many of the songs are very fun to play, but when I started a career, I could only get half way through the medium mode. Many of the combinations are basically impossible to pull off. Many times it seems like you even actually hit a note and it doesn't register. I am a casual gamer and I don't want to have to put hours on end into the game to beat it. If you don't have really long skinny fingers the game is TOO HARD. I am all for a challenge, but in many cases this is absolutely ridiculous! I have both of the Guitar Hero games and Guitar Hero 2 is much better. If you like big challenges, this is the game for you. If you are like me and just want to have fun, stick with guitar hero 2 and leave this game on the shelf. The soundtrack is better on the first guitar hero, but in my opinion it is not worth the money for all of the frustration.

There's a few good songs on there same ol same ol game play i like the fact that it takes standard controls as well being that i dont play with the guitar i cant help but to feel lame and feels really fake when i use the actual guitar controller. I think the newer ones are better like 3. I would only purely play this game only because of the few songs that i do like are on there. Nothing special.
