If you're a first time Guitar Hero player like me eager to get into the seies and rock out, then don't rent this game. If you don't have any old GH guitars laying around, then you can't play. You were able to use your controller to play the older versions and gamefly even says that you don't need the guitar/drums to play the game, but that's not true. You can use the mic from your Xox 360 headset to play as the vocalist, but that's about it. And the headset mic doesn't seem to pick up your voice very well either.
To sum it up, this game was a major let down. They really should have left the controller features in the game, but they didn't. So if you don't have a guitar/drums/mic, don't bother renting it because you won't be able to play.

So I received Rock Band 2 about 2 weeks ago.. Played it, loved it, still playing it.. GH WT comes in the mail today and im stoked.. I pop it in and go straight to career, I notice that the first couple setlists are half filled with RB2 songs. The gameplay isnt as good as they hyped it up to be for these many months. I have a feeling ill be sending this one back before i send back RB2. There are a couple new cool things though in World Tour. First, theres this new things called fingersliding or tapping that they added that is neat. And thats truly about it.. This game might have a higher effect of greatness on me if I had the new World Tour drumset but I dont. All well, still a good game, worth it to rent it. But I dont recommend buying it. But hey, at least this game is better than Rock Revolution. AHA!

As i have always said bout GH games, they own Rock Band so much. I love the new songs, the gameplay, and just everything about it. Love how you can now playing with others and form a band, have your own created character, etc.
