Honestly, I hated this game at first, I thought it was just another piece of nothing Guitar Hero game...but it's not. If you love playing new songs on guitar, drums, bass, and mic, then you will definitely love this game. The songs are amazing. And yes, they probably COULD have put this on world tour as a DLC, but they were obviously experimenting with new guitar note charts and systems. All in all, it's a great game, it kept me entertained, and that's what games are suppose to do.
First of all, if you have played the Guitar Hero series from the beginning then only get this if you prefer to play drums. And if you're only average, skip it all together. This game is basically the hardest songs from the previous GH games with original recordings instead of covers. There are some good songs, but the difficulty of this game will frustrate the average player. And personally I hated Freya when I first got stuck on it a couple of years ago, I didn't need to play it again.
Instead of releasing a new GH game every couple of weeks, it would be nice if the Activision folks would just start releasing some of the songs as download content. I think this is why I prefer the Rock Band series. Always new content, buy what you want and skip the rest.
Again, if you mainly play with the guitar controller, skip this retread of a game.
You played one, youve played them all. Only thing about this one is, you can play some of your favorite songs from GH games past with different instruments. TTFATF (i think) got dumbed down for this version, but then again, Im glad. Decent set list, but how some of the songs made the "Smash Hits" cut is beyond me, but then again, music is subjective. Overall, you played one, youve played them all.
