Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

If you have Rock Band equipment, do not rent this game. It is not compatible with the Rock Band guitar. Neither are any of the Guitar Hero games published after this one. You have to have a Guitar Hero guitar or you can not play this game.

Ever since I got my Beatles Rock Band controller I've been checking out various Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. Most recently Guitar Hero Aerosmith and Guitar Hero Metallica. Apparently every Guitar Hero game from Aerosmith on is compatible with the Rock Band controller, Aerosmith was not at first, but an online patch will make it so. Unfortunatly no such patch was created for GHIII. I don't know all the politics behind this, but I do know that Guitar Hero controllers will work on every Rock Band game, but the GH people have not completely returned the favor. So anyway, I got the game today, and my controller would not work. So I can't tell you anything about the game, but my rating of 1 is because they should go back and make this game compatible like they did GH Aerosmith.
