With a great varied setlist and cool guest appearances like Slash and Tom Morello, this is one of the best Guitar Heroes to date.
Pros:
-Awesome setlist. It's got a good variety of modern rock. classic rock, and even some other stuff in between.
-Good graphics. It's not the best thing you'll ever see, but it's pretty realistic.
-Customization isn't quite as good as the newer Guitar Hero titles like World Tour or 5, but there are a lot of guitars to choose from.
-If you're crazy good at Guitar Hero, the ultimate challenge - Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce - is on this game, and I think it's the hardest song on any Guitar Hero yet. I'm also pretty sure this version is harder than the one on Smash Hits.
Cons:
-Since it's before the age of the drum kit and mic, this game only features Guitar and Bass. Some of its songs are available on Smash Hits, however, but this is still worth having as well.
-Challenge. It takes an INTENSE amount of skill to beat this game on expert, especially the final boss battle (I counted, 102 tries to beat the last boss alone). I don't know if this could be considered a 'con,' but it's pretty ridiculous if you want the achievements for it
-Achievements. You don't get the achievements for beating it on Easy, Medium, or Hard when you beat it on Expert; you have to go back and pluck out the easy stuff on all the main songs if you want to get all the gamer points for this game. Also, there's one for beating Through the Fire and Flames on Expert, which is insanely impossible.
Great Guitar Hero, Great setlist, very very challenging on Expert. It's worth a rent, even with all the new full-band ones coming out.
