... with a bit of an edge.
Fun times in Wizard School. Or, Glamour/Necromancy/Sorcer- y/Alchemy school. Hilarious jokes, funny character names, and everything you've come to expect from Vanillaware.
The Good:
-Exceptional execution of a console RTS. Imaginative take on map design.
-Hilarious units. Succubus guardian, I'm talkin' about you!
-BEAUTIFUL artwork! These guys are at the TOP of their game!
-Crazy battles.
-Brilliant use of the controller, and structure of a single-player RTS.
-Fantastic story idea.
-Support Units are not only useful, they are Necessary! Rare in an RTS.
-All the characters are named after drinks.
The Bad:
-Some of the battles take TOO long.
-A bit light on the crunchy bits (actual damage, "terrain" features, that kinda thing.)
-The mini-map. C'mon, guys, everything else was so polished, and you give us an 8-bit reject-lookin' minimap?
-Only able to select one unit "type" at a time. I see why they did it, but it's mildly annoying when you just wanna move the dudes.
The Ugly:
-Gimlet. Ew. Gnawsty fangs.
-That blasted minimap.
-Chimeras. Double-Ew. Nightmarish, but beautifully rendered, in all its fangly glory.
