For me the whole point of the original Grid was the challenge. When you wreck in the Grid series of games you pay for it during the rest of the race. The damage can be limited to visual or none but honestly if you play like that you might as well be playing GT6. It can be frustrating if you forget to tune your car properly for a given race. My advice is to use the Practice option and tune your car for every event. The smallest difference could mean everything. Also, I suggest using the Qualify option every time it’s available. It gives you an extra point toward your team rating. You will find that your teammate is an anchor so even if you win every event he or she could pull you down to second or third place or worse. With most Racing games there comes a point when you can relax with a commanding lead and take a leisurely drive. This isn't one of them. Grid is true racing. You have to drive at the very limits your ability just to reach or keep the lead. When you wreck you wreck hard. To me, that defines racing. I only rated it a 7 because the developers have not yet realized, no matter how good the racing is we want the ability to modify the cars visually and mechanically. Building the ultimate racing machine is often just as much fun as racing them. I give it 9 points for the racing, and -2 for having a worthless “Upgrade” button in the Paddock Interface.

grid isn't a bad game there is no story line it is all about racing. If u enjoy racing games this is for you. The games graphics are pretty good the cars handling through the controller can't be really complained about. Over all a pretty decent game the online is pretty good so far, for it just being released. No codes or a 24 hr online pass you can be online till you return the game. have fun with it and start off slow, you go to hard it is easy to get frustrated good luck and enjoy some GRID
I appreciate that they are going for a realistic experience but its to the point were it becomes obnoxious. I became so irritated with the VERY FIRST intro race that I nearly turned it off. I wish I had because I finally turned it off when I was forced to traverse 17 menu structures to try to get to my first official race. I don't care about sponsors and leagues and divisions and sub-divisions and point systems. TOO MUCH.
If I wanted this much detail and headache I would go buy and Audi and race the thing in real life!!!
Games are games. lets try to remember that going forward.
