First and foremost, if you play racers and like to just gas it up and occasionally tap the e-brake for drift points, stop reading here and go rent PGR4 or Burnout Paradise. Now GT5P definitely shows the potential of a fully released GT5. The visuals are stunning, the in car view is the best thing since in cabinet cars at the ye olde arcades. The Games physics are great for a sim racer, and completing a challenge is very rewarding. Now that we know it plays well and it looks great there are a few faults with this game. The online is almost broken. Online consists of matchmaking so you can never race with your friends online except for some kind of miracle that you are matched up, then you have to pray that everyone has a good connection or the lag will play tricks with your mind and or driving ability. You have to grind early on to earn enough money to buy all the cars to complete the challenges. I recommend this game to any car fanatic. but if you are into arcade racers this game can get boring quick and maybe this is not the game for you.
I miss the option of upgrading the cars, But I'm guessing that part of the game will be back in the next version. The graphics and game play are awesome. Most realistic of all the racing games out there. My only wish would be to include the finest road course in america: Portland International Raceway. If you are curious about this track, Check it out in Need for Speed-Pro Street the second best race game out there. If you have ever driven a real car, This is the racing game for you.
