Most people are trying to compare Golden Eye to other FPS titles and thats the problem. Golden Eye is the remake of the N64 original and in my opinion they did a great job. Other reviews state how the game was nothing like the original, but the developers didnt follow the original game they based it off the movie. Any true Bond fan would be able to recognize this. Multiplayer on the other hand is a whole other story. It doesnt bring back the feel of the N64 title but I still think its very fun. So maybe the game isnt for everyone but if you want a good weekend play and are a Bond fan you will fall in love with this game.

GoldenEye Reloaded feels like a breath of fresh air for those of us who grew up on GoldenEye for the Nintendo 64. The game was ported to the Wii last year, recasting Daniel Craig in Pierce Brosnan's role, but playing on the Wiimote was awful. Using the Classic Controller even didn't do it justice, it just felt... off.

With the game Reloaded to the 360 and PS3, we now have a chance to play the game as it was originally intended. Minor graphical updates, more online modes and achievements and trophies make it worth exploring, but not buying.

An Outdated Update

i only played the demo on the xbox360 and it didn't look that good at all. the whole presentation is antiquated and totally outclassed by any modern games. the game play is just like that of a classic Call of Duty (1+2). not that it's bad, but it gave me a daja vu feeling-seen that done that. And a Bond game definitively shouldn't be a clone of COD. it has such a rich history and style of it's own to draw upon. too bad it seems that Activsion only wanted to make money off Bond fans instead of giving the franchise an imaginative overhaul. maybe it's time for another company to take it over and induce the much need imagination into the series. BioWare (Mass Effect 2 ) or UbiSoft (Splinter Cell Conviction) comes to mind. at the end, this reimage didn't grab my interest, even-thought i'm a huge Bond fan and was very excited when it came out on the xbox360. now, i had never played the original, so i can't compared the 2. but if you look at this as a new game (which it's supposed to be-with a new Bond and updated story) than, it can't seem to hold it's own. none the last, i was a bit disappointed and won't be spending my time on this outdated update. maybe i'll change my opinion after i played the whole game.
