Golden Axe: Beast Rider for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

"... the whole game seems like a missed opportunity." says the Gamespot review. I could not agree more. This game is an insult to the Golden Axe title.

No multiplayer, only 1 playable character (valkyrie) instead of the classic 3 (valkyrie, barbarian, dwarf), boring gameplay, clunky controls, last-gen graphics. All around obvious lack of polish. How could this game even make it to retail like this?

I really like mindless hack-n-slash games (Dynasty Warriors, Ninja Gaiden), and I thought I would like Golden Axe: Beast Rider despite its bad reviews. Wrong! This is the kind of game you send back within 1 day of getting it. Just terrible and downright boring, boring, boring.

Don't waste your time on this game.

I loved the old arcade version of Golden Axe and was excited to give this one a try. Disappointed to say the least. There is virtually no story, the game play is lame and the production value is circa 1996 N64'sh at best. This game is nothing more than a button masher with very poor game play. Don't waste you time.
