Definitely worth renting, maybe buying

I played both Chains of Olympus & Ghost of Sparta on the PSP and it was awesome to play them both again, on my HDTV and with the twin sticks on the Dualshock controller. CoO looks OK, but given that it was the first God of War made for the PSP it is not surprising that it doesn't look as good as GoS. GoS looks really good, I would say it looks as good, if not better, than the HD GoW 2. CoO was also shorter than GoS but again it was made with mobile gaming in mind, the limitations of the UMD format, and was made first.
If you've never played either title before and are a God of War fan, you really should because they are both excellent. If you've never played a God of War game I would suggest starting with the PS2 collection first, then it doesn't really matter what order you play GoW 3 or this collection in after that.
There are also the challenges of the gods to beat after you finish the story and GoS has a video of the some of the developers talking about making GoW as a bonus as well. I will say that after beating both games & finishing the challenges there isn't much to do except play through again with some of the bonus costumes, playing through on god mode, and looking at concept art type stuff. Since I had already played both games on the PSP I lost interest after playing through on hard & beating all the challenges, but you may get more replay value than I did.
