God of War II for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

Kratos is back and even more brutal and revengeful that before.
GAMEPLAY 9/10 - There are more combos and weapons in this one, and even the ones that are still the same don't get old either. Kratos is even more brutal in this one by killing anyone and everyone in his path, even some of the citizens of Olympia, which makes this game even more badas. There are at least twice as much boss fights as the first one, even if they are smaller ones. Even when fighting weak enemies, they come in large packs, and multiple enemy packs at the same time. This can be pretty cool and fun, but when playing on a difficulty higher than normal, you will find yourself raging throughout the game, especially since some of the checkpoints are long. At one point of the game you will fight a 10 minute battle, and if you die at the very last wave of enemies, you will have to go back to the very beginning. Apart from this, the fighting is intense and very action packed, leaving you satisfied. The puzzles are even harder and more intricate than the first, which can be fun and leaving you feeling happy when completing them, but sometimes they will stump you pretty well. You will have to remember every single power and ability you have obtained or else you won't know what to do during the puzzle.
GRAPHICS 9/10 - The graphics are about the same as the first one, maybe with a little more detail in some of the enemies and characters.
SOUND - The music is still pretty enjoyable and sounds like something from a movie.
Overall this game is great, and a little better than the first in my opinion. The story is still fun and fluid as it is in the first, and is a must buy.
