Pretty freakin sweet

For me i always loved the God of War series, the gore, the bosses and the crazy finishers. so when i heard Santa Monica studios and Sony entertainment were releasing god of war 1&2 remastered on PS3 i got exited, so I rented it and they did a great job. the graphics are incredibly better, and they even updated the combat system a tiny bit. (at least I think so, because i dont remenber being able to rip the undead in half) it felt like a new god of war to me, and it felt good. so God of War 1&2 remastered, a 10 out of 10, great job guys. (may i also note that i am EXTREAMLY exited for GOW 3 which will be so epic that the human eye will melt at the graphics/gameplay:) Outstanding.
Gameplay(never dissapoints)-10
control system-10
And of course, GORE-3000,000,0000000000000000
Me happy

Graphics are terrible

The graphics arent remastered in hi def blue ray. there look worse than on ps2. Its really really bad. The gameplay is good, the game is good. but cinematics, and detailing of the game is just horrible. Looks like its from super nintendo. GOW 3 will be alot better. They didnt work on this and just wanted to make some extra cash, dont even get this game, your not missing anything.

Some upgrades to two great games

GoW and GoW 2 were already great games when they came out. And now with this slightly updated version for the PS3, they're even better and more challenging. The gameplay looks better running at a faster frame rate, however the cut scenes are the only things that remain the same.

Some enemies have been made a little tougher to beat (the undead soldiers that carry the glowing golden shields in GoW used to be able to beat them without destroying their shields by using Poseidon's Rage. Now you have to actually destroy the shields before they will take any damage.)

Most of the Trophies are easy to get (I managed 32 out of 35 in GoW in only one play through). Also, keen eyes may notice a possible hint at what may come in GoW 3 with one of the Trophies available in the first GoW game. I wont say what it is to avoid spoiling it for anyone, but if you've seen it, you probably already know what it is. Also, each game has their own set of Trophies, which means there are 2 Platinum Trophies available to add to your collection.

While it's a re-release of a game that fans have played many times over since their original release, it's very much worth trading in your PS2 copies of them and getting this version.
