Fun, original, perfectly challenging, BRUTAL, and gruesome.
The redone graphics look outstanding. It appears that all of the models have been improved in detail to up the resolution. The pre-rendered scenes from the PS2 are in their original quality, which takes you out of the game, but it's a great contrast to see how much they improved it for this version.
Both games hold up. If these were originals instead of re-releases, they would still be Top 10 games.

The game itself is classic. All whom have played know what a quality game this is. And if you have never played GoW 1 or 2 then you are in for a real treat. The only part I am upset about is the cut scenes are still in the original format instead of being update for HD like the rest of the game.
Two of my all time top 5 games, remastered in HD. Nuff said.
It's been commented elsewhere, but the only thing approaching a flaw in the port is that the cut scenes are DVD quality, not Blu-Ray. Also, Kratos' shadow looks kinda weird on some terrain. Yes, I'm struggling that hard to find a flaw.
If you've not played the true owner of the GoW moniker (360 owners take note!), or even if you have, this is a must play. That a ~5 year old game is in the running for my PS3 Game of the Year says a lot !
