Yeah, well I want to begin by saying obviously I've played and have seen other people play, the other 3 GOW games. Awesome all the way. This is the first time I have rented one myself, for my own system, and while it was everything I had hoped it would be, I found myself stuck in limbo between epic battles and finding a F#$%ing rope or lever, or something that blended in too much with the scenery for me to see it. Seriously, that sucks! call me stupid, but I was not the only one in the room that hates that repetitive "accomplish this task' of maneuvering on some stupid obstacle course that has nothing to do with the game. I know, it's obvious I haven't played the other previous versions enough on my own, but seriously those are some stupid, boring, superfluous tasks that game requires of you...TIME WASTING, FILLER!!!!! I hate you GOW developers, I want you to know that.
You took someone who couldn't wait to play his own version of GOW, on his own system (newly acquired, obviously), and expected it to be awesome...and getting stuck on the second F@#$ing level, because I had not payed enough 'attention' to the previous GOW games...F@#$ YOU...I'll take the Force Unleashed any day!!!!!!
I really enjoyed the game and the Boss battles were really exciting. One thing I hated is that every time the game auto-saves, the game will freeze for about 3 - 5 seconds. I didn't get to try the online gameplay because instead of making it free to play online they made it that you have to buy a pass in order to play multiplayer. Very Bad Idea. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10. Enjoy Gamefly Family!!

The Greatest Franchise of All-Time
Many people will argue with you when it comes down to the best video game legacy ever...and I'm not saying that this is right or wrong but only my opinion.
Super Mario, Zelda, Grand Theft Auto, ect...all come up but have their shortcomings in the overall look, for example Zelda had the better gameplay but the story lacked much depth and the same could be said of the rest also
The God of War Saga is now 6 Games deep and ALL are ongoing classics. The first one wowed me more than any game I had played up until that point...the graphics were beautiful, the story was amazing and epic, boss battles were wild, upgrading was fun, and the atmospheres around you sucked you into the environment immediately. I kept thinking the formula would get old but every game is unique and different enough to feel new but stick to the mechanics that made it successful. Also, the game is challenging but never gets too hard to aggregate you.
When you look at the epic journey as a whole I think God of War could win Greatest Franchise Ever!
