Like the title says God hand will most certainly be a type of game that will put your gaming skills to the test.

At first glance you would think that this game is nothing more then a typical simple beat em up style of game, However those feelings would change the very second you start playing. The learning curve of the game is pretty tight due to the fact that instead of simply attacking and blocking you actually have to learn how to fight as well as dodge any attacks that come your way(AND YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET HIT IN THIS GAME), and the game actually requires for you to learn it if you are to get anywhere in the game without dying too much.

That's another thing about this game, for such a simple concept the game is surprisingly hard unless you get the learning curve right. But even once you get the learning curve figured out the game still offers you a great challenge with it's great(and somewhat cheap)difficulty system.

There are two difficulty settings for this game, one where you select a mode to start from(Easy, normal, and Insane), and when the difficulty of the game increases the better you do during the game. The fighting gets harder, enemies start to become more aggressive, healing items or power-ups show up less and less, and attacks takes alot more from your health bar. Thankfully you can control the difficulty during the game to better suit your skill level if you wish, personally I find it more fun to play when the game goes insane on you.

The amount of continues I used during my first run through the game was 146 so believe me when I say don't take this game lightly not even on easy mode, and beware of insane mode.

If you like games that are simple but fairly deep and you can patiently enjoy going through games that offer a challenge then this game would be for you. However if you're the type who gets very frustrated easily and hate games that can own you then you should steer far away. This game is purely a love it or hate it kind of game.

Old fashioned Beat-em-up for Grownups

I'll say this right up front: this game is not for kids. It's rated M due to all sorts of comedic content your mother wouldn't approve of, but if you're a grown-up nostalgic for a pure and simple fighting game then this game won't disappoint!

Yes, the plot is basic and without frills, but the charm of this world more than makes up for it. In what other game are moves like "Pimp hand" and "spanking!" allowed for both you and the enemies, thinly-veiled playboy magazines boost your attack meter, and venomous chihuahuas are a national threat? Yeah, not a world mom would approve of, but still pretty funny and awesome once you get into it.

This game chooses not to stick you with endless button-mashing combos instead allowing you a customizable move list for each button to make pulling off favorite moves and combos very easy. It also lends an air of strategy to the game and you will find yourself rearranging move lists to handle difficult bosses with greater ease.

The graphics are clear, colorful, and easy to work with. Many of the bosses are parodies of archetypes found in other fighting games (the big fat cocky guy, the band of costumed heroes, the sexy near-nude female, ect) making guessing what is being parodied this level fun, even if you're going to have your butt handed to you over and over. The difficulty of this game is pretty brutal, but it just makes beating up the ridiculous bosses that much more satisfying.

My only real gripe is that the between-levels optional casino is extremely hard. I've played a lot of games with blackjack and video poker in them and never have I seen such brutal hands on the dealer! Sure, you can skip the gambling, but the easiest way to boost your stats is to gamble, so sometimes it's almost unavoidable.

So, if you want a good old-fashioned beat-em-up with a crazy adult-oriented world and hilarious moves, rent this game or better yet, buy it! But, if you care more about plot or licensed characters you may want to skip this one.

OK, This game is definally under-rated. IGN gave this a 3!!! I'm sorry but this game is way above that. It's basically a remake of old beat em up games like Double Dragon or Streets of Rage, but with more updated gameplay. You have over 100 basic attacks which you can customize to make your own unique combos. Also over 50 special moves makes beatin the sheet outta random henchmen more fun than it should be. You start off with not much to work with but hang in there, it gets better. One problem i read about is how "hard" the game is. I must admit that it is very difficult. You will die many many times even on the first stage, but you'll become a better gamer from it! The story in the game isn't complex or deep but it works. Most games with demons and gods tend to be entertaining. All in all this is a great game and delivered more than was expected. So if you have patience(and ur gonna need em), rent it and give it a shot. If your not satisfied then come complain to me personally about how i wasted your precious time :-P
