When kids get together to play games near the streets of a city, then you get - a reason they should open up a recreation center.
Go Play: City Sports has six - count 'em - six games: Stickball, Kickball, Hockey, Soccer, Handball, and Jump Rope.
The single player mode has you creating an avatar, but once you create him/her, you can't go back and edit him/her in any way. (Most games in this genre lets you play dress up with the avatar, but not here.)
Once created, you go out and wander through the streets to find certain kids who you will be prompted to talk to using the A button. The kid will then ask you to play one of those six games, which are not that good.
I find the Handball the best of the bunch; the controls are okay, and it's the most immersive.
Jumping Rope is okay, but it's nothing more than push a button on the Wiimote when prompted.
Soccer has you running through cones to get to a ball while jumping over certain obstacles, then you select one of three location on the goal to shoot at and hope you score. Then you repeat it two more times. Note: This is not a real game of soccer (because they game makers will ruin that game.) The three courses don't change so this game gets real boring real fast.
Kickball/Stickball is the same - cheap versions of baseball with an AI that's either very good or very bad (far too often the AI defenders will run away from the ball in play.)
Hockey is the worst of the bunch; defense consists of kids running about wildly, forgetting the attacker is going onto the net to score a goal.
But what is really going to turn off players is the god awful presentation. Winning these games gets your avatar nothing. Losing these games gets your avatar nothing. There are no new clothes or any other content to unlock, so why play the single player mode at all?
Don't bother with Go Play: Big City Sports; it's lazily put together to separate you from your (or your parents') money. SKIP IT.

Not much physical activity to play. Timing is everything.
