This was an excellent game, the aspect of being able to play four players is one of the best parts. The attack system is tough to learn. But once you get the hang of it the game is very fun. The story is very enriching, I love the little quips between the charecters. My segestion is if you have four freinds, invite them over and play this game. It is still fun if you play it by yourself, but is very exciting playing with 3 of your other friends.

This game is set up as an rpg much like final fantasy, only it's played like a virtual combat board game. This game has tremendous replay value and will give you hundreds of hours of game time.

You basically start out with a small team of gladiators, then as you gain levels your number of possible members constantly increases. You choose from various gladiator schools who you will allow on your team, and from then on as they gain levels you can personalize skills, equipment, and even their appearance. The customizing alone is a great aspect of the game, because no matter how times you play it you make it different according to your style.

You have to use the battle terrain to your advantage, and which moves/skills you choose your gladiator to make determines the damage done to your opponent or outcome of the battle. For example you can use spells to lower your opponents initiative and begin losing the battle, but will give you an advantage in the end. Please keep in mind this is a thinking game, and many point, shoot, first person shooter fans will become frustrated with this game and turn it aside.

I say this is a buy, not a rent because the game is way to long to finish without holding back the other games in your queue for quite some time. Also the replay value is excellent so it's always a great game to fall back on.
